MEET AT Bike Church – 703 Pacific Ave. (enter around the corner on Spruce St.)

Left on Pacific. Left on Locust. Left on Cedar. Left on Lincoln. Right on Pacific (Contra flow lane)

Pacific through various roundabouts to the SC Municipal Wharf.

>>REGROUP/CATWALK/ETC – End-o-the-Wharf for dancing and cat fashion show shenanigans.

Disembark from the wharf. Right on Beach Street. Bear left on 3rd Street.

Right on Riverside – over Riverside Bridge. Right on San Lorenzo Blvd/East Cliff.

Left on Ocean Street. Right on Soquel. Right on Pine. Right on Seabright.

Left on Murray. Right on Lake.

>>REGROUP/CATERWAULING/ETC – Palomar at the SC Harbor for cat karaoke.

Head east on East Cliff. Straight onto 17th Ave. Left on Rodriguez.

>>REGROUP/CATNAPS/ETC – Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter parking lot (Shhhhh!)

Head out of parking lot onto Jose Ave. Through Jose Ave Park. Right on Eddy Lane.

Left on 7th. Right on Brommer onto bike path. Up the hill, towards Broadway. Right on Frederick St.

Left at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church onto path. Right on Darwin. Left on Hanover.

Right on Seabright. Left on Soquel (from the new Bike Box!). Right on Pacific. A few times around the block.

End at 703 Pacific Ave!

 

About the ride:

Hey hepcats, quit your caterwauling – it’s time for the Tour de Cat! What’s that? Well, it’s a cat-themed Bike Party in honor of Fat Tire Tour de Fatcoming to Santa Cruz. So, don some cat-sual wear, slick those whiskers, and prowl on down for a night on bikes on the town!

As always, Bike Party is the cat’s pajamas: catagorically the coolest combo of a swinging themed shindig and a costumed community bike ride. Each one involves a rolling, rolicking mobile party, complete with a cattywampus route about town, on-bike soundsystems, dance breaks, and made even more fabulous by your creativity. What’s more, we’ll have a cat-stume contest, complete with catwalk for all of you feline fashionistas, with prizes galore.

The ride starts at 7:03 PM (time for a catnap?), meeting at the Bike Church (703 Pacific Ave.) The weather is bound to be purr-fect, but this is coastal CA, so bring layers.
