Cultural historians around the world agree that it was the American 1980s which saw humanity achieve its pinnacle of fashion and music, since which time our collective artistic achievements have entered an inexorable decline.
Fret not, but instead join us in a celebration of this wondrous era. Tonight we ride with pegged acid-washed jeans, poofy hair, giant clock pendants, leg warmers, and turtlenecks as we cruise to the fresh sounds of the 80s. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Toto, Tone Loc, Guns and Roses… there’s something for everyone.
SC Bike Party is a fun, social ride every second Friday of the month. While costumes are encouraged, they are optional, so come as you are and just enjoy the ride! Our goal is to create a safe and cooperative roadway environment for all road users.
Santa Cruz Bike Party is a mobile party for riders of all ages, experience levels, and types to meet, ride, and play together in the streets. Rides are 7-10 miles long with music and dance breaks along the way. Rides move at a relatively slow pace and no one is left behind. Each ride has a theme and riders are encouraged to wear costumes or decorate their bikes to fit the theme.
