The Blues Ride – Friday, November 10th 7pm

To determine the next theme for Bike Party we put together a blue ribbon commission, and they talked until they were blue in the face and realized that once in a blue moon everyone feels blue.

Even if you don’t have “the blues” and aren’t feeling tangled up in blue, put on your blue jeans and your blue suede shoes, and celebrate some other blue with us: Blue Sky, Blue Oyster Cult, Blue Note, True Blue, the Moody Blues.

SC Bike Party is a fun, social ride every second Friday of the month. While costumes are encouraged, they are optional, so come as you are and just enjoy the ride! Our goal is to create a safe and cooperative roadway environment for all road users.

Santa Cruz Bike Party is a mobile party for riders of all ages, experience levels, and types to meet, ride, and play together in the streets. Rides are 7-10 miles long with music and dance breaks along the way. Rides move at a relatively slow pace and no one is left behind. Each ride has a theme and riders are encouraged to wear costumes or decorate their bikes to fit the theme.

Tonight’s route:

7pm meet at the Bike Church, 703 Pacific Ave.
Head north on Pacific Ave, left on Church, left on Cedar, left on Birch and right back onto Pacific Ave heading south.
Left on Beach St, up onto the bike path, follow the river path until the bridge into San Lorenzo Park, from there right on Dakota, left on Soquel.
From Soquel, right on Pine, right on Seabright, left on Murray, right on Lake.
Dance Break by the beach where E. Cliff starts.
After the break, go a few blocks up E. Cliff, left on 7th Ave and continue until Brommer. From that intersection, take the Arana Gulch bike path, which leads us to Broadway.
Follow Broadway back into town, right on Pacific for another pass through downtown.
