This Bike Party is going to be amazing. It’s going to be the sanest ride you’ve ever seen. You won’t even believe how sane it is.
Look at how idiotic this crooked car culture is. It’s so idiotic, unbelievably idiotic. There are giant storms and droughts, traffic jams, oil wars, and people just keep driving everywhere. We have to get tough and we have to be strong, and we have to ask, “what in the hell is going on?”
So we’re going to be very strong, and very tough so that we stop being idiotic. And this Bike Party is gonna be so huge in making us sane again.
I know even some of you very strong, very sane people are wondering, “how am I supposed to decorate my bike or myself based on this theme?” Well you’re going to have to be smart and get tough and show the world what it looks like to be fighting climate change, and fighting idiotic politics.
Tonight’s route:
Meet at 7pm at the Bike Church, 703 Pacific Ave.
Head north on Pacific, Right on Cooper, through the TJ’s parking lot and Right on the levee bike path.
Follow the levee path until Laurel Ext, drop down to the street and head South on Pacific out to the Wharf. Ride out to the end of the wharf for our first break.
Ride back down the wharf and Right on Beach St, all the way to the end and up on the bike path until Riverside. Cross the Riverside Ave bridge, then Right on San Lorenzo and Left on Ocean St.
From Ocean, Right on Soquel, Right on Pine, Right on Seabright, Left on Murray, and Right on Lake down by the harbor. Second break at the traffic circle by the beach next to the Crow’s Nest.
From there head a few blocks down E Cliff and Left on 7th up to Brommer, where we turn Left onto the Arana Gulch bike path. Follow the path through to Broadway and back into town, finishing with another pass or two down Pacific Ave and surrounding streets, before returning to the Bike Church.
