Peace in the Streets Ride – September 11, 7pm

tour de peace

It’s a Bike Party for peace, for we are all pieces of the puzzle, and peace is patriotic. No wars required to power this ride — we run on peace-fuel! There will be peace signs aplenty as we cruise the Cruz. Peaceful (pieceful?) attire encouraged. Slices of the peace pie, peas in the peace pod.

Is peace just a word? A state of mind? A passe new age concept? We’ve got that peaceful easy feeling and we’re ready to roll. We’ll end the ride at a pizzeria for pieces of pizza pie.

Peace out!

Tonight’s Route:

Meet at the Bike Church, 703 Pacific Ave. Head right on Pacific, out to end of wharf for sunset.

Back on Beach St to the end, up on the levee for a few blocks until Spruce.
From Spruce, turn right on Pacific. Next, right on Cooper and across Front through to the river levee, take the levee to our first break by the exercise equipment.

Take River to N. Pacific and up Walnut to a left on California. Left on Bay, then quick right back on California. Circle the circles. Onto Woodrow. Right on West Cliff. Out to Natural Bridges. Regroup at parking lot.

North on Swanton. Right on Deleware. Left on Swift. Right into Kelly’s parking lot. Regroup.

Kelly’s lot to Fair. Fair to West Cliff. Continue on West Cliff back to lighthouse. Regroup and then back to downtown to end at Woodstocks (on Front st.) for pieces of peace pizza.

  1. Hi…first timer here. Does the bike Party go every month of the year or just the summer months? Can’t make 9/11 but would love to ride the next one. Thanks!
